Frequently Asked Questions
How does the registration and racing process work?
All new drivers must register at reception, which includes signing a liability waiver form. Once complete, you will receive your PKR head sock and licence - drivers then move on to the mandatory induction, which outlines all race and safety rules. You are now ready to race and Feel the Rush!
Don't forget to bring your head sock and licence each time you come to race!
How much is it to race?
All our race rates can be found here on the Race Rates page.
Why do I need a PKR Racing Licence?
The PKR Racing Licence is a required membership that gives customers access to our race track, use of helmets at the track, and access to your own “Clubspeed” online race profile and results for the period of one year. It also gives you access to the promotions and discounts emailed to members from time to time. Your licence is your membership identification at each visit, and holds record of any race credits you may hold with us. It also comes with your very own “PKR” head sock to keep (to be used every time you race).
If we buy multiple races, do we have to use them all?
No. These races NEVER expire. They can be used any session, any day.
Can the multiple race packs be used for different people?
No. All races purchased are PER PERSON and cannot be split up. We are not able to transfer credits.
How long does one race take?
Each race consists of 14 laps, where the lap count is based on the lead racer. If you are lapped by other drivers during your race, you may not complete the whole 14 laps. When the session is finished, each driver completes their final lap (currently there is no timing recorded for final lap apart from lead driver), then has an additional slow down lap back into the pit area. Each race session takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Junior races are limited to 10 minute sessions if the required 10 laps are not completed within this time.
How many people can race at one time?
Maximum of 10 karts on the track at one time.
How big is the track?
The PKR track is 320 Metres in length.
